Floating Cinema are presenting a four day programme titled Humans in Space with open air film screening featuring sci-fi classics. The Floating Cinema for this event will be moored at Canalside Steps, Granary Square.

Day 1: September 17- 20.00-22.00 – Open air screening of Silent Running ( 1972, U, 89 minutes)
Day 2: September 18 –19.30-22.00- Open air screening of Metropolis (1927, PG, 118 minutes)
Day 3: September 19- 19.30-21.20- Fancy dress screening of 1980’s classic Flash Gordon ( 1980, PG, 111 minutes)
Apart from film screenings, the Humans of Space programme also includes short documentaries, talks, installations over the 4 day event exploring colonisation, images of cosmic utopias and future intergalactic worlds.
