Dai Ailian is widely recognised as the godmother of Chinese ballet and her birth 100 years ago was celebrated with a Centenary Exhibition Launch at the Royal Academy of Dance, Battersea on May 10th. Archives & Records Manager Eleanor Fitzpatrick who curated the exhibition and author Richard Glasstone who has written a book about her remarkable life also attended the launch.
